Flag Mockup
A pinned edge in the wind. Every fold comes from a cloth solver and an air field written to repeat, so the flag never stops and every loop closes.
Drop a flag design, a logo on a field or a banner artwork and it is printed on cloth at the picture's own proportions, hanging from a flagpole or a crossbar. Turn the wind up and the flag lifts, streams and flutters; turn it down and it hangs. The cloth is simulated, not animated: a light spun polyester answers a gust three times as fast as heavy cotton bunting, a sleeve holds the whole hoist while grommets let the edge bow, and the back of the flag shows the print through the cloth the way a single-ply flag does.
The camera orbits, zooms and fits; four looks light the scene against a sky, a studio, a plain color or transparency. Exports are a PNG at up to four times the stage, a GIF or MP4 wind loop that closes exactly because the air repeats with it, and a self-contained interactive HTML file that keeps flying from a folder with no network. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is kept between visits.
Real wind on real cloth
A position-based cloth solver reads a gusting, turbulent air field through the cloth's own normals: a sail fills, an edge-on sheet feels only skin friction, and a long-range attachment keeps the flag its own length in any wind.
Flagpole or banner
Fly it from a pole by a sleeve or two grommets, or hang it from a crossbar as a banner; set the pole's height, its finial and its color, and the flag's size from a preset or the picture.
Cloth you can choose
One weight slider moves everything a mill would: grams per square meter, stiffness, damping, how fast the cloth answers the air, and how much of the print reads through the back.
Loops that close
The GIF and the video run the same air with its period set to the loop's length, so the last frame flows into the first; the interactive HTML carries the solver and keeps flying offline.
How to use it
- Bring a design Drop a PNG, JPEG or SVG on the stage, paste one, or send a picture here from another tool. A sample flag flies while you look for your own.
- Choose the mount and the cloth Flagpole or Banner in the top bar; sleeve or grommets, and the cloth weight, on the Flag tab. The wind slider beside the mount sets the air, live.
- Light and frame it Pick a look and a background on the Light tab, drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, or choose a named view. Full controls opens the physics, the material and the camera.
- Export Save a PNG, a GIF or MP4 wind loop, or an interactive HTML file from the Export tab or the File menu. Save the project to your account to keep it.
FAQ
Is the flag mockup free?
Yes. The 3D flag, the wind, every export and the interactive file are free with no sign-up and no watermark. The simulation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
What picture should I bring?
A PNG, JPEG or SVG of the finished flag design, a logo on a colored field or a banner artwork. It is printed at its own proportions; pick a flag ratio such as 3:5 or 2:3 from the Size section to stretch it to a standard flag instead.
Is the motion real physics?
It is a physically based cloth simulation: gravity, stretch, shear and bending constraints, self-collision, a pole the cloth collides with, and a wind field with gusts and turbulence. The look of a real flag in a real wind is the aim, not a hand-drawn wave.
Can I use the exports commercially?
Yes. What you make with the tool is yours. The interactive HTML file is self-contained and can be placed on any page with an iframe.
